Senior management of the Group is proactive in attending investor relations activities and non-deal roadshows in Hong Kong and overseas. During the meetings, the management actively exchange ideas with participants and respond to their questions. Feedbacks collected from the market are exchanged with relevant management and directors in order to maintain ongoing commination and maximize the value of the Group.

Effective investor relations is a vital part of KWIH’s governance concept. During the year under review, the persistence in upholding corporate governance ears an array of awards and certifications. Despite the fact that many face-to-face events have been cancelled in 2020 due to the outbreak of COVID-19, KWIH will strive to maintain the IR works by adopting online methods or telephone conferences to ensure the frequent communications with investors and stakeholders. In addition to carrying adequate disclosures through diversified communication channels, KWIH will also maintain transparency in management to meet the expectations of relevant parties.

Increasing Levels of Corporate Governance with Continued Effort

KWIH has been upholding the highest standard of integrity and accountability. By adhering to the principles of transparency, accountability and independency, KWIH endeavors to maintain the best corporate governance practices and protects the interests of stakeholders. The Board of Directors have been provided with relevant reading materials to ensure they are apprised of the latest changes on the relevant laws, rules and regulations with a view to ensuring that the Board procedures, and applicable rules and regulations, are followed. In order to further strengthen their knowledge and skills of their roles, functions and duties, the Group also arranges continuous professional development training and in-house seminars. Over the past year, KWIH conducted in-house seminars on topics including the opportunities brought by the Greater Bay Area Initiative, FinTech and global trade, etc.

Paying Equal Attention to Business Development and Social Responsibility

With the devotion of supporting charity causes, KWIH continued to sponsor Opera Hong Kong in 2019 for an array of performances and events in order to promote the popularity and diversification of opera in Hong Kong, as well as to offer an opportunity for youngsters to demonstrate their talent on stage. KWIH also made donation and cooperated with various non-profit organizations in Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta to host a range of voluntary activities.

KWIH actively arranged various environmental activities to promote environmental awareness and protection among employees and the public. The Group sponsored “Walk for Nature” hosted by World Wide Fund Hong Kong in 2019 to educate the employees on how they can cherish and protect nature in Hong Kong.

Moving Forward at A Stable Pace with Existing Advantages

The impacts of COVID-19 have been bought to the fore at global economic and different industries. KWIH will move forward with progressive strategy with a disciplined approach. While maintaining the sales momentum of K.SUMMIT in Kai Tak and Solaria in Tai Po, the Group is preparing to launch new projects such as the Grampian Road in Kowloon and the harbourfront project in Cheung Sha Wan in the second half of 2020. In Mainland China, the Group has launched the first batch of units of J City and Jiajun Garden in Jiangmen early this year. Bayview in Dongguan, Phase I of Xinhuazhen West Site in Guangzhou and Avanti in National Hi-Tech District, Suzhou are expected to be launched in the second half of 2020.
